Terms & Conditions
Effective 26 June 2026 · Last updated 26 June 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and KXCO governing your use of the KnightsPurse wallet software (the "Software", "wallet", or "service"). They explain what you may and may not do, what you are responsible for, and the limits of what we can do for you. Read them carefully. By creating a wallet, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Software, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the Software.

1. Acceptance & who we are
The Software is published by KXCO ("we", "us", "our"). KnightsPurse is also offered as white-label software: where a licensed institution deploys it under its own brand, that institution operates the service for its users and its own terms may also apply in addition to these. These terms describe the behaviour and rules of the Software itself, which is the same in either case. Your continued use of the Software confirms your ongoing acceptance of the version of these terms then in force.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and legally able to enter into a binding contract. You must not be a person with whom we or our partners are prohibited from dealing under any applicable law, sanctions regime, or trade restriction. By using the Software you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Software is lawful where you are.
3. The wallet is non-custodial
KnightsPurse is non-custodial. Your recovery phrase and private keys are generated and held on your own device; we do not receive, hold, or have access to them, and we do not hold, control, or have custody of your funds. We are a software provider, not a bank, a custodian, an exchange, a broker, a money transmitter, or a fiduciary. We cannot move, freeze, reverse, or recover your funds, and there is no "forgot password" reset for a self-custodial wallet. All transactions are initiated and signed by you and are final once broadcast to the relevant network. Where you use an optional managed or guardian-assisted account tier, the specific recovery mechanics for that tier are described in that tier's documentation and apply in addition to these terms.
4. Your keys, your responsibility
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase, passwords, devices, and any hardware you use with the wallet, and for every action taken through your wallet. In particular:
- If you lose your recovery phrase and have made no other provision, your funds are permanently and irrecoverably lost. We cannot help you recover them.
- If someone obtains your recovery phrase, they control your funds. Never share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from KXCO or support — we will never ask for it.
- You are responsible for verifying every address, amount, network, and transaction before you confirm it. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed by us or by anyone.
- You are responsible for the security of the devices and browsers on which you run the wallet.
5. Acceptable use & prohibited activity
You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for ensuring that everything you do with the wallet complies with every law, regulation, and rule that applies to you. The following activities are strictly and absolutely prohibited. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive — anything unlawful is prohibited whether or not it is named here.
You must not use, attempt to use, or assist any other person in using the Software, directly or indirectly, in connection with any of the following:
- Any illegal activity whatsoever — any act that is criminal, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful under any law applicable to you or to the counterparties or networks you interact with, in any jurisdiction.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation — including layering, structuring, integrating, or otherwise concealing the origin, ownership, or destination of funds; processing, moving, or holding the proceeds of crime; and any transaction intended to evade anti-money-laundering or counter-terrorist-financing controls.
- Terrorism and violent extremism — funding, supporting, facilitating, or rewarding terrorism, terrorist organisations, terrorist acts, or any individual or entity engaged in or associated with them.
- Sanctions evasion — any dealing with, on behalf of, or for the benefit of any person, entity, region, or government that is subject to sanctions, embargoes, or trade restrictions, and any attempt to circumvent such measures.
- Pornography and sexual exploitation — the production, sale, purchase, distribution, promotion, or funding of pornography or adult sexual content of any kind, and without limitation any content or activity involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of children (CSAM), human trafficking, or non-consensual material, which is prohibited absolutely and reported where required by law.
- Gambling — funding, operating, or participating in any betting, wagering, gaming, lottery, casino, sports-book, or other gambling activity, including any such activity that is unlicensed or unlawful in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction in which it is offered.
- Trafficking and controlled goods — the trade in illegal drugs or controlled substances, weapons, munitions, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, protected wildlife, human organs, or any other goods whose trade is restricted or prohibited by law.
- Fraud, theft & market abuse — scams, phishing, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, "rug pulls", market manipulation, insider dealing, the theft or unauthorised use of another person's assets, identity, or credentials, and the funding or laundering of the proceeds of any of these.
- Ransomware, extortion & cybercrime — paying, receiving, facilitating, or laundering ransoms or extortion demands; distributing malware; or any unauthorised access to or interference with computer systems.
- Tax evasion — the deliberate evasion of any tax, duty, levy, or reporting obligation, and assisting any other person to do so.
- Bribery & corruption — offering, giving, receiving, or facilitating any bribe, kickback, or improper payment.
- Misuse of the Software — reverse-engineering, tampering with, or attacking the Software or its infrastructure; introducing malicious code; attempting to gain unauthorised access; using the Software to infringe the rights of others; or using it in any way that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, or harmful.
We may refuse, restrict, or discontinue service to anyone we reasonably believe is engaged in any prohibited activity, and we may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. Because the wallet is non-custodial, you understand and accept that you bear full and sole legal responsibility for your transactions, and that the absence of a technical block does not constitute permission to do anything prohibited by these terms or by law.
6. Sanctions, anti-money-laundering & financial crime
You represent and warrant, each time you use the Software, that: you are not a sanctioned or prohibited person and are not acting for one; the funds you use are lawfully yours and are not the proceeds of crime; and your use of the wallet does not and will not breach any anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions, anti-bribery, or other financial-crime law. Where a deployment requires identity verification (KYC) or other compliance checks, you agree to complete them, and we or the operating institution may decline or discontinue service if you do not, or if checks cannot be satisfactorily completed.
7. Taxes are your responsibility
Cryptocurrency and digital-asset transactions are financial transactions, and they are very often taxable. Buying, selling, swapping, spending, earning, staking, receiving, gifting, or otherwise disposing of digital assets may give rise to income tax, capital gains tax, value-added tax, or other liabilities and reporting obligations, depending on where you live and the nature of the transaction. It is entirely your responsibility to:
- determine which taxes and reporting obligations apply to you and your transactions;
- keep accurate and complete records of your activity;
- calculate, declare, report, and pay all taxes that you owe, on time, to the relevant authorities; and
- obtain your own independent professional tax advice where you are unsure.
We do not provide tax, legal, financial, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing in the Software or in these terms is such advice. We do not calculate, withhold, collect, report, or remit taxes on your behalf, and the information shown in the wallet is provided for convenience only and must not be relied on for tax purposes. If you do not report and pay the taxes you owe, that is your responsibility and yours alone, and you accept all resulting liability, interest, and penalties. Telling yourself that crypto is anonymous or untraceable does not change this — pay your taxes.
8. Fees
Network ("gas") fees are charged by the underlying blockchains, not by us, and are payable by you. The Software may also apply a platform fee on certain transactions or features; where it does, the applicable fee is disclosed at the relevant time. You are responsible for all fees arising from your use of the wallet.
9. Third-party networks & applications
The wallet interacts, at your direction, with public blockchains, RPC providers, decentralised applications, bridges, exchanges, token contracts, and other third-party services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for those networks or services, for the assets or smart contracts you choose to interact with, or for any loss arising from them. You use them at your own risk.
10. Intellectual property
The Software, including its code, design, trademarks, and content, is owned by KXCO or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Software in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the Software except to the extent the law expressly permits.
11. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that it will meet your requirements. Digital assets are volatile and high-risk; you may lose some or all of their value. You use the Software, and you transact, at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, assets, profits, data, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Software — including any loss caused by a forgotten or compromised recovery phrase, a transaction you authorised, a third-party network or application, or a security incident not caused by our wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KXCO and its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Software, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.
14. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Software, or your access to it, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with the law, to prevent prohibited activity, to protect users or the service, or for other legitimate operational reasons. Because the wallet is non-custodial, ending your use of the Software does not affect your ability to access your funds using your recovery phrase with compatible software.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, highlighted in the app. Your continued use of the Software after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where the mandatory law of your country of residence requires otherwise. Where a white-label institution operates the service, its own governing-law terms may also apply to its deployment.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. White-label operators: please direct your users to your own support contact.
